Where can I even start? The first ever Gay Country Band – Lavender Country – fronted by the charming and iconic Patrick Haggerty make activist, socialist, hella gay songs that are about disrupting conservative culture and changing the world. And you know what? They totally are. Their first album is archived in the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the band is currently on tour – playing AmericanaFest and the Newport Folk Festival (and many others) this year alone!
