Greetings from CQ’s New Interim Editor-In-Chief

I’m proud to announce that I have accepted an invitation to serve Country Queer as Interim Editor-In-Chief, effective immediately. 

During this transitional time, my focus will be to help CQ make a clear pivot to its stated intention of becoming a fully intersectional space with regard to editorial direction and staffing. While doing so, I also hope to help foster a welcoming culture that values transparency and accountability. 

I personally believe in the potent value of queer spaces. While the queer community has driven creative innovation across the entertainment landscape, there are still scant few spaces where we are able to center our contributions without qualifiers. 

In its growth, Country Queer strives to be a platform that promotes community by spotlighting LGBTQIA+ artists doing groundbreaking work in the genre we love while excavating and celebrating our history. I am very much looking forward to the ride.
