Tonight! Queerfolk Fest Lands In Nashville

By Abel Muñoz

Queerfolk Fest presents a show on December 15th at Nashville’s Vinyl Tap. The show’s incredible lineup includes: Julia Cannon, Purser, Christine Wilhoyte and Zoe Cummins. Show begins at 7:00 PM and the suggested ticket price is $7.00.

Queerfolk Fest’s mission is to cultivate queer community, provide opportunities for LGBTQ+ artists and create spaces where every human is welcome.

Having launched virtually on June 12, 2021, the inaugural festival was put on by Pineworks Creative, a new music company founded by Sara Gougeon, and Club Passim, a favorite folk venue in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event was sponsored by Bluegrass Pride, a San Francisco-based non-profit whose mission is to uplift LGBTQ+ musicians and creators in roots music.

Today’s event marks the beginning of Queerfolk Fest’s presence in Nashville, Tennessee, where an in-person festival is in the works for 2022.
