As we say adios to summer and howdy to autumn, we’ve got lotsa yummy tidbits for you country queers. Dig in.

  • Brandi Carlile continued her tour with a series of sold-out shows in Colorado, though she had to cancel the final show due to illness. (Get well soon, Brandi!)

  • Orville Peck continues his whirlwind tour, playing sold-out shows last week in Texas and Louisiana, and this week all across the midwest. Check here to see if he’s coming to your town.
  • Mary Gauthier will be playing in our back yard, at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco, on Saturday. We hope to chat with her afterwards – stay tuned!
  • Amythyst Kiah will be bringing her magic to Asheville, NC’s Isis on Saturday night. Read an interview about it here.
  • Seems like there are a lot of Pride festivals going down this month. Paisley Fields is slated to play at one in Bowling Green, KY on Saturday, then another one in Morgantown, WV, on Friday the 11th!
  • Bluegrass Pride sponsored an LGBTQ Roots Music Showcase last Friday in conjunction with IBGA and Raleigh, NC, Pride festivities. Here‘s a clip.
  • If you’re near Minneapolis, don’t miss Grrrl Scout: Giddy Up Queer Country Night, featuring our pal Ellie Perlberg.) Check out the deets.
  • Lastly, we recommend this epic oral history of Lilith Fair in Vanity Fair!
