Ryan Cassata Releases Music Video for “Bamboo Plants” to Kick Off West Coast Tour
Ryan Cassata is an LA based trans singer-songwriter and activist who has gained and maintained a massive following through his dedication and commitment to creating uplifting, inspirational music. Ryan has been writing and performing music for over 10 years and has used his musical talent to bring songs preaching hope and peace to queer and other marginalized communities. Earlier this week he released a music video for his new folk-rock song “Bamboo Plants”.
Bamboo Plants was co-written by Ryan’s girlfriend and the song lyrics are based off of their quickly blooming relationship. It details two people falling in love and moving in together after only knowing each other for a short time. The video is a beautiful depiction of queer love and does a great job of representing the queer community. Ryan is a pioneer of featuring trans and gender non conforming actors in his videos. In a recent interview, Ryan touched on the subject of finding love within the queer community.
“I think society makes it harder because many people can’t come out and it’s assumed that everyone is straight and cis[gender] until they say they are not. I think it’s an obstacle for sure. I personally believe that there’s someone out there for everyone.”
– Ryan Cassata
Ryan has always been an advocate for positive change and will continue to create music and videos showcasing and celebrating love in every form in the hope that queer love will be normalized and more widely accepted.
This song was released two days before the start of Ryan’s West Coast Bamboo Plants Tour. Tour dates are listed below.
