Country Queer Presents: Loud and Proud Events at Americana Fest

Country Queer is excited to be attending Americana Fest this week in Nashville. We’ve got a variety of events planned — if you’re in town, be sure to catch up with us, as well as the many queer artists performing throughout the week.

On Thursday, September 23, we’re hosting the panel The Full Spectrum: Queer Americana and Beyond at 12PM at The Westin at Sobro I and II. The panel will be moderated by Hunter Kelly, featuring panelists Amy Ray, Mya Byrne, Lilli Lewis, Olivia Ladd, and Kamara Thomas. Focusing on intersectionality from a queer perspective, we’ll be digging in deep. Join the conversation!

Then, on Thursday night, we’ll be hosting Rainbow Happy Hour from 4pm-7pm, a showcase of queer artists at the celebrated Nashville venue Vinyl Tap. Our lineup is stacked with appearances from The Whitmore Sisters, Jett Holden, Lilli Lewis, Paisley Fields, Izzy Heltai, and Mya Byrne. Come check out some great tunes!​​

Right after that, we’ll be heading over to Tempo at 2179 Nolensville Pike for Country Queer Presents: Rae Isla with Elizabeth Wyld and Riley Moore. Part of our media partnership with Rae Isla for her Another Life tour, the show starts at 7 PM, and will feature exclusive, reimagined versions of Rae’s 2020 release Another Life, as well as plenty of all-new material.

In addition to hosting our own events, we’re excited to spotlight the many queer artists who will be playing at Americana Fest. These talented musicians will be in Nashville throughout the week, so look for them on the Americana Fest app or website for show times.
