Voices for Visibility: Trans Empowerment Project’s Pride Benefit Concert Airs Tonight

After a long month of celebrations both in-person and in the digital space, Trans Empowerment Project (TEP) plans to cap Pride month with Voices for Visibility, a virtual concert and celebration of trans pride. The livestream will air from 7-9pm EST tonight and feature performances from seven different trans or non-binary performers in different genres — including Cidny Bullens and Jessye DeSilva, some favorites of ours here at Country Queer. 

Based in East Tennessee, TEP is a grassroots organization started by Jack Knoxville that services the trans community globally with a concentration on people of color. They focus on helping trans people move out of crisis and into empowerment through direct aid, resource-building, and advocating for larger cultural changes. Since starting this work in 2016, they have been able to provide assistance to over 1,200 people through direct aid.

The event will be streamed live from their Facebook page, and although there’s no cost for entry, TEP will be accepting donations for their important non-profit work.
