‘The Lantern Tour’ Shines a Light on Refugees with LGBTQI+ Lineup in Nashville, 12/14

A storm of queer talent and activist energy is set to hit Nashville’s City Winery next month.

The 2022 edition of The Lantern Tour scheduled for Wednesday, December 14, will feature Mary Gauthier, Ruby Amanfu, Becca Mancari, SistaStrings, and Aaron Lee Tasjan as headliners, along with special guests Jaimee Harris, Lila Blue, and Madeleine Kelson. It’s no stretch to say it’s a Country Queer hotbed of musical goodness that you don’t want to miss!

Thankfully, even if you’re not located anywhere near Music City, you can still attend, thanks to a Livestream feed with Mandolin, tickets for which can be purchased here.

Now in its fifth year, “Lantern Tour: Concerts for Migrants and Refugees,” is an annual concert series whose inaugural show played at City Winery Nashville in 2018.

Lantern Tour alumni include Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Steve Earle, Amy Ray, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Thao, Jackson Browne, and Shawn Colvin, among others.

The concerts benefit the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), an organization dedicated to creating a better world for refugee women, children, and youth, as well as persons with disabilities and LGBTQI+ refugees.
